Favorite Sega Genesis Game?
« on: November 13, 2015, 04:53:05 PM »
Hello guys. I decided to head to my parents' place this weekend and take a break from schoolwork etc.. So I plan to play some Sega Genesis with my brother and my father. While thinking of games to play with them I kept thinking of awesome Genesis games. You got games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Phantasy Star II. My personal Favorite Sega Genesis game is a little game known as Gunstar Heroes. So im curious, does anyone here play Sega games? And if so what is your favorite or what you have the best memories with? :comik_excited:

Of course the Sonic games go without saying. Gunstar Heroes is got to be next on the list. Third would have to be Comix Zone!

My absolute favorite would definitely be Sonic 3 & Knuckles. That game was MASSIVE, and I consider it the absolute best Sonic game EVER.

The 2nd best game for me would be Rock n Roll Racing. I have a lot of memories renting that game from the video store, and it was highly addictive for me.

My third favorite game is Race Driven. This game really pushed the limits of the Sega Genesis and had some amazing capabilities, such as full 3D race tracks, crash replays and even a track designer! I highly recommend this Racing game

:comik_inlove: I LOVE COMIX ZONE! and I never heard of Race Drivin, but it looks similar to Virtua Racing! Have you guys played Vectorman before? That was another good one in my opinion.

Never played, but want to. Seems like one of the few Sonic-inspired games that had some passion put behind it. The music is wonderful too.

Not my favorite game, but a wonderful soundtrack.
I was slightly addicted to it's gameplay though.

Some of my favorites are the Sonic games, Toy Story, and Tinhead. There are also games I like that I haven't played on an actual Genesis, such as Comix Zone and Beyond Oasis. I played them on a compilation for the PS3.

I can honestly say my favorite Sega Genisis game is Sonice The Hedgehog 2. I say this because Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was a long and mind blowing game especially with the special emerald levels. I love that a friend can plug in an extra controller and play as Miles "Tails" Prower. I just think that it is an amazing game especially for coming out back in 1992. :comik_inlove:  :oh_yeah_crazy:  >.<

I agree Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is mind blowing even now. And I remember playing Toy Story on my Genesis too! I was never good at it though. :comik_excited:

I've always loved Phantasy Star II just for the intro sequence

I like Sonic 3 the most of the genesis sonic games, but I've got a soft spot for 3D Blast's soundtrack.
Comix Zone is great, as is the Toy Story game.  Honestly though, I've got a stack of new games at home I haven't even gotten to try out yet, so I'll get back to you on my absolute favorite.

I've got a weird homebrew Sonic game for the SegaCD/Genesis that's really cool too, I wish I could find it...
Peace and humptiness forever
Listen, do you smell something?

I have a few favorite Sega games, as this was the prime generation of games for me as a kid so my list might be lengthy.

X-men2 Clone Wars, awesome graphics for it's time. Great story, and great gameplay. I also loved the playable characters. Psyloche  :comik_inlove:

Sonic and Knuckles, Loved the backward compatibility with other sonic games. One of the sonic games imo

Strider, I loved this game as I used to play it on an arcade at 7-11 while my Dad made his coffee. Years later I dl'd the rom. Good memories

TMNT Hyperstone Heist

The lion King, Y'all might laugh about this one, but I was so awesome at this game. It's actually kinda hard, but I became a master
