It's been a while since I've updated, oh boy.  :comik_thinking:
As you may or may not know, I'm going to be a first-time Daddy very very *very* soon! While I may have a splotchy presence at the moment, I hope my availability will increase within the next few weeks. I have been working on minor improvements to the site, but my main focus has been progressing on The Adventures of Comik. At the moment I am fairly active on the site, so if you have any questions, comments or concerns please ask!

I am also looking for some help, if you have anything great to offer-- please shoot me an email at: and I will get back to you as soon as possible!  :cheeks:

See you around!  ;D

I need to be in the right mood for that style.  :comik_suspicious:
Perhaps when I find myself in a car chase.   :)

Thanks for the input!
I'm working on a new theme. Hope you like it!

Funny that you say that because I feel the same way. Once you share it, there's expectation and that takes the creativity out of it all.

:) Oh wow, nice! Are you currently working on any of them?

Welcome DTFox!  :oh_yeah_crazy: I'm glad you joined in!
I'd love to see some of the things you've developed. I assume you have a site of your own?

You got me. I love chip tunes.
I love how you captured the essence of each song in the form of a chip tune. Are these all remixes? Do you take requests?  :comik_thinking:

That would be some quick production. I imagine it would be street view or a horizon versus a "helicopter view"?

My, aren't you a Jack of all trades, Vee! Wonderful work!

Architecture renders are my weakness, in a chocolate kind of way. I could waste an entire afternoon finding inspiration in them. I specifically love angles and symmetry and you've included both, so I can't help but love what you've done.

Trees are definitely on the opposite side of the spectrum. As with any naturally formed object, there is both the sense of randomness and design. Too much of one attribute will make the difference between making an artistic sculpture or making an alien plant.

I love modeling plants/trees, perhaps one day I'll make a conceptual work-flow tutorial to show my technique (or madness, it's perspective). My weakness is rocks, as silly as it sounds.

Thanks for sharing! I hope we can see more!

Awesome! Sounds like you know what you're doing. Maybe you could help me beta test a new collaboration feature of the site I'm working on soon!

Awesome, thank you.
Can you tell/show me which text is difficult to read? I know for one, the "Welcome the latest member" line at the top in gray clashes with the red background severely.

There are a few misaligned images and frames that drive me up the wall but my aim is to build a theme from scratch once I better understand the needs of the community.

And if I can get your opinion on the theme itself, would you prefer a flatter design with less information? How do you feel about the color scheme and blocky design? If you could choose your own color scheme what would it be?

I've had suggestions for a darker theme as it's easier on the eyes for programmers. I think it could also allow the user's posted artwork to pop out more.

Thanks Omega!

I'd love to see more about your Sega Forum Game, perhaps a back story on your development would inspire other developers!

I actually had a very similar idea several years ago. I thought it would be fun as a Super Smash Bros. clone, but I realized the amount of work that would have gone into making the huge selection of Sega members and balancing their abilities to be ridiculous, and if I left anyone out it would have been the demise of the game. Then I considered allowing the users to make their own characters and set their abilities and have the weaknesses created as a result. Then they would upload their character to a database that the game would read from. I realized this was all too big to be anything but a dream. I began working on a platformer with "SegaBot" as the protagonist fighting against spam and saving members. It would have been easier, but unfortunately it was one of those projects I simply lost interest in.

I'm really happy to hear someone has a similar idea, and from the looks of it it's going to be an awesome game. If you post some of your ideas, plans, goals and what inspired you in it's own thread, I think you'll get some interested folks! Maybe grow a crew to help you out!

Beautiful!  :over_joyed:

I couldn't agree more! Building a game is like building a house. You need a sturdy structure, but at some point you want to hang up some pictures and decorations to make it feel homey so you feel comfortable and well-rested when you return to work on that main structure!
You're still progressing on your game, but sometimes you need to see it in a different light or take a break and avoid getting burnt on on the same tedious thing!

Thanks Brutal Audino!

Awesome  :oh_yeah_crazy:
I still haven't opened all my presents. I left half of them out of state by mistake.  :comik_mad:

Well it's a good start! I would suggest reinstalling Windows if you haven't already. You could have bad RAM or disk errors that require you to restart the computer. I hope you get things figured out soon, man.  D:

Cojo09 - Nice! Any Sega/Nintendo games in particular?

Omega - Also nice! What have you done with the RP in the past and what are your plans in the future?

Can you hook the monitor to another computer to determine whether it's working? Do you have additional VGA cables to determine that the cable isn't bad?

I hope you get it working for your own sale. Good luck.

Very nice. Did you get any games with it?

Aw man, I'm really sorry to hear that.  :comik_sad:
Is there by chance I can possibly help you diagnose or fix the problem?

Very nice.  :)

General Discussion / Senntient Community Questionnaire Results
« on: December 25, 2015, 01:41:32 PM »
Hi cool cats,
Since the unfortunate end of the Senntient forums, I have to move all the results to this thread. If you're in contact with anyone who isn't a member, please direct them here to see the results and/or take the questionnaire. The deadline will be at the end of the year and the results will be posted soon after.

The results are set up to be an automated system and there is no login required to take this questionnaire. It is simply a product of my love for you people and hope that we will never stray too far apart. I love all the projects you guys are working on and I would LOVE to continue seeing it.

In support of Chris Senn himself, I want to mention GuyWithThePie's thread. Please check it out, it's a fantastic gift idea and I hope to see it jam packed with artwork.,101.0.html

Finally; Here's the link to the questionnaire. Please take 10 seconds of your time to fill it out and continue being apart of the community most of us grew up with!

Your friendly neighborhood Admin,
   - Tulloch

I would love to see a super detailed high-poly version of that gas mask. So far, it's BEAUTIFUL. I love how it's a familiar shape but a completely unique design. That's an awesome trait for game assets-- original and familiar!

I love it Redd, I'm waiting to see more!  :comik_excited:

As posted in Senntient; Perhaps my Senntient avatar, or Comik (this guy  :oh_yeah_crazy:)

I think this is a pretty awesome idea and I cannot wait to see progress/ the final product.
How are you planning on getting it to him? email or snail mail?

This is exciting!  >.<

+1 Internet for fantastic idea.

With your help, we can pin-point the best and worst of games by collecting data from questionnaires! Simply choose a questionnaire of interest and select your opinions on the subject or question at hand. After we've collected a sufficient amount of data, we can share the statistics with you in the form of a detailed well-written article. You must be logged in! If you created your account here before December, 10th, please send me a private message so I can bridge your accounts.
